The classroom, set up on a teacher's own budget
Teachers spend their own money on their rooms, and rarely track it. Plan the room as a board with the cost, whether it is reimbursable and how long it survives thirty children, so the spending is at least visible.
The short version
Classroom setup is mostly funded personally and almost never recorded, which is why teachers underestimate what they spend by a wide margin. Keep the cost, whether it is claimable and how many years it survives on each item. That turns a scattered year of small purchases into a number worth showing.
